Electronics Catalyst — Remote Arduino Learning Platform

A two-year side project: an online platform that lets users upload and test code on real Arduino hardware remotely, eliminating the need for physical components. NELSco developed it full-stack, from PCB design to backend and frontend.

A Hardware-in-the-Loop architecture for live interaction with a real Arduino Nano and peripheral modules, with virtual wiring that reduces setup time and eliminates common errors.

Environmental simulation for realistic sensor testing, and full-stack development spanning PCB design, a Python backend, and a JavaScript frontend.

The Challenge

Many learners lack access to hardware, components, and a test bench, and incorrect wiring leads to common errors. The goal was to provide a real Arduino experience remotely, without physical components and with reduced errors and setup time.

Our Approach

A Hardware-in-the-Loop architecture enabled live interaction with a real Arduino Nano and peripheral modules. Virtual wiring reduced setup time and eliminated common errors, and environmental simulation enabled realistic sensor testing. The whole system was built full-stack: PCB design, a Python backend, and a JavaScript frontend.

The Result

The result was a platform that delivered a real Arduino hardware experience remotely without physical components and sharply reduced setup time and user error.
