NELSco deployed a specialized process controller for saffron processing machinery using a dual-board architecture that separates control and power for enhanced reliability. The controller ensures precise automation and product-quality traceability.

The Challenge

Saffron processing requires precise, reliable control in an industrial environment, where power-board noise must not disturb the control logic, the operator needs a simple interface, and operation history must be recorded for quality traceability.

Our Approach

A dual-board architecture separated control and power for greater reliability. A 3.2" TFT touchscreen with RGB capacitive buttons provided the interface, an isolated relay board handled equipment operation, OTA update capability was added, and operation-history logging with audio feedback was implemented for operator guidance and traceability.

The Result

The result was a precise, reliable controller that ensures accurate process automation, consistent product quality, and traceability, with OTA enabling remote updates.
