Monitoring gas transmission lines in remote areas needs a device that runs for days entirely on its own, without power or network infrastructure, and logs accurate data. With embedded firmware and hardware engineering on the STM32, NELSco built an autonomous field data logger that records line pressure and temperature accurately and prepares it for analysis.
STM32 control with 4-20mA pressure transmitters and precision temperature sensors, and an ultra-low-power design for 7-day continuous autonomous operation in a remote environment.

The Challenge
The device had to run for several days continuously in a remote desert environment with no infrastructure dependency; this meant engineering firmware and hardware for ultra-low power, accurately reading 4-20mA industrial sensors, and reliably storing timestamped data in a form that is easy to analyze later.
Our Approach
STM32-based control was implemented with 4-20mA pressure transmitters and precision temperature sensors. An ultra-low-power design enabled 7-day continuous autonomous operation in the remote desert, data was stored with timestamping on an SD card, and structured, Excel-compatible output was produced for easy analysis. A device field-deployable without infrastructure dependency.
The Result
The result was a reliable, self-sufficient field data logger that enabled long-term monitoring of remote pipelines without power or network, delivering accurate, analysis-ready data to the operations team.
